Medicine Disposal

Medicine should never be flushed down the toilet. When you flush medications, medication byproducts and residuals dissolve into the water and eventually end up in creeks and streams.

Pflugerville Police Department has provided a receptacle for proper disposal of unused medication inside the after-hours entrance located on the east side of the Pflugerville Justice Center (1611 Pfennig Lane).

With a 24-hour facility location, residents are encouraged to drop off unused pill medications for proper disposal in the dispatch lobby.

By removing unneeded medicine from residents’ homes, the medication is also less likely to get into the wrong hands.

The drop off box is only for pills. No liquid, needles or illegal drugs will be accepted.
